He sat down, unable to believe what had happened. That moment he knew his daughter would become famous all over the world, that she will be part of the Royal Family, that someday she will be the Queen of Spain.
When Maria told him that her boyfriend was Prince Philip, the grandson of the actual King of the country, he thought she was losing her minds or she was lying to him. The daughter tried to explain him the whole story over and over again, but he did not want to listen to her. She told him they were studying at the same University in Madrid, they were having friends in common and spent much time together. They fell in love at first sight and after three months Philip asked her to marry him.
He didn't care she came from a modest family, that she didn't hav
e so much money, or that "blue blood" didn't run through her veins. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever met, she was intelligent, charismatic, the perfect creature made by God, and above all she was his future wife.
They both were aware of the consequences of their decision but they didn't care what people would say.Their love was so strong that would overcome everything. Her father didn't believe a single word until he saw an interview in which the Prince announced his wedding and presented his future bride to the country, his daughter, Maria.
He was now thinking at the wedding, at all their relatives who must have seen the TV show, at his wife who was probably crying at home, blessing the moment the Prince had set his eyes on their daughter. Maria woke him up when she filled the house with her joyful laughter. At the same time she was crying, as she knew she was about to leave her home ,where she had been so happy, to live in a palace, like a real princess she was.
