A hilarious career

Q:   Ask a Question about A hilarious career
It seems that Jessica had decided to build a singing career right at the time of her birth. When she was still very young, she began singing at her local Baptist church.

She gave audition for The Mickey Mouse Club but failed. When at school, she signed to Proclaim Records. She recorded an album Jessica, but was never released as Proclaim went bankrupt. She also signed with Columbia Records.

Her first single, I Wanna Love You Forever, was ranked #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999. Then she released Sweet Kisses. She toured with Ricky Martin and with boy band 98 Degrees to support her album.

Then she released Where You Are and I Think I'm In Love With You in 2000. The latter became Simpson's biggest radio hit. Her debut album sold 2 million copies and 4 million worldwide. In 20 01, she came with Irresistible. Irresistible reached at # 15 on the Hot 100 and stayed in the chart for 20 weeks.

It sold 127,000 copies in its first week and was certified Gold for selling 500,000 copies in its fifth week. Irresistible has sold 825,000 copies to date in U.S. and 3.2 million copies worldwide. Her album A Little Bit was not very famous. Her album In This Skin started at #10 on The Billboard 200 album chart and sold 64,000 copies in its first week.

Its special collectors' edition was released in April 2004 and sold 157,000 copies in that week. In December 2004, the album was certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. She also released Rejoyce:

The Christmas Album which was certified gold. Simpson appeared on The Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack. On 29th August 2006, A Public Affair started #5 on the Billboard 200, selling 101,000 copies.

In December 2006, while performing a tribute to Dolly Parton she made a mess of lyrics. Her album Come On Over was first leaked onto the internet on May 27, 2008 though officially it released in July 2008. The single peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs.

Her album Do You Know was released on September 9, 2008 which was already leaked onto the internet on August 28, 2008. The album debuted #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in both the US and Canada giving Simpson her first #1 album of her career.

She will be coming up with a new album this year and in this album she will be producing some of the songs.
