About Amber Tamblyn

Q:   Ask a Question about About Amber Tamblyn
Amber Tamblyn was born in Santa Monica, California on May 14, 1983, by parents Russ Tamblynan ,actor, dancer and singer and Bonnie Murray, a singer, teacher, and artist. Her paternal grandfather, Eddie Tamblyn, was a vaudeville performer.

She attended the Santa Monica Alternative School House, which under her opinion was unorthodox and no letter grades.

At the age of ten, she played Pippi Longstocking in a school play where Sharon Debord, her father's agent went as a family friend, saw her and convinced her father to let her audition.

Amber Tamblyn published two chapbooks of poetry, called “Of the Dawn” and “Plenty of Ships”, and has participated in poetry readings at various venues, especially in California. ‘The Loneliest’, a poem book inspired by “Thelonious Monk” and his music, was published in 2005 and contains haiku poetry written by Amber Tamblyn and coupled with collages by George Herms. There had been soled only 300 copies of the book.
