Adams prohibited at Diana's memorial concert

Q:   Ask a Question about Adams prohibited at Diana's memorial concert
In his kitty, comes in lots of concerts scheduled for the future, but there had been one concert wherein the Canadian Legend and 10 time Grammy Winner Bryan Adams had been barred from performing.

The concert had been in the memorial of Princess Diana which was organized by his son Prince William and Harry on July 1st, 2007. July 1st, 2007 would have been the 46th birthday of the Princess and their sons were doing their bit to make the concert successful.

It was rumored that Diana and Bryan Adams had, then, been linked together and there were speculations of an on-going affair between the two of them before Diana’s death. These rumors had speculated after the mysterious death of Princess Diana in a car accident.

Adams had been declared persona non grata over allegations of having a romantic link-up with the Princess. Princess’ sons Prince William and Prince Harry had no issues with Bryan Adams but as they had been looking after the organization sector of the memorial concert they didn’t want to create innuendo for it was solely for their beloved mother.

One of the sources was heard to quote, “The Princes’ have nothing against Bryan Adams… But they want the concert to be free of any innuendo or tittle-tattle. It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear.”

The news about the brief relationship between Adams and the Princess had come to light only after the death of Princess of Wales and the Prince William and Prince Harry didn’t want any sort of media attention over the link-up, hence, barring Adams from the concert. Adams’ rep had also confirmed about Bryan not performing at the memorial.

The concert was staged at the rebuilt Wembley stadium and the performances included that of Duran Duran, Joss Stone, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, English National Ballet, Pharrell Williams and Bryan Ferry.

This was a memorable concert for many of the people and the guests who had attended and had been close to Princess Diana. This was truly a concert in the memory of Princess Diana.
