Marilyn was born by Gladys Pearl Monroe Baker Eley who was a film editor. The truth about her father is a real enigma. In that time all the people said that her real father was Charles Stanley Gifford, a man with her mother had a short relation, and because when she gets married with the Norwegian Martin Edward Mortensen she was pregnant. Her mother wanted to keep the rumors away from her family and said and baptized the child Norma Jeane Mortensen. In her birth certificate looks like Martin Edward Mortensen is her father.

Because her mother couln't take care of little Norma, she tried to convince Della Monroe Grainger, the grandmother of Norma to take care of the little girl.
