Describe the most interesting person you met on one of your travels

 Q:
Describe the most interesting person you met on one of your travels by Cristina Nuta -

It was the first time when I had to travel by train, alone to Bucharest. In fact, I only had to travel there to meet a friend. I was sure that I was going to have a long-boring trip as I was travelling alone. I bought myself some magazines to feel that time would pass easier.

The compartment I was given was almost empty. I was sharing it with a woman, who seemed to be very pleasant. So I didn't have to worry that I would be deranged by impolite people. Anyway, the situation changed at the first station when a strange man entered out compartment. He greeted politely and stood exactly in front of me.

We had been travelling for more than an hour and a half, without saying a word. Each one of us had something to do, read the newspaper or the magazine. However, all this changed the moment when the woman left the compartment as she had arrived at her destination. I remained alone with the strange man, and it seemed that nobody was going to enter my compartment. And the most inconvenient was the fact that it was night and I didn't like the situation in which I found myself.

After ten minutes the man asked me where I was travelling. I answered him politely which was my destination. Then, he started putting me different questions, which at the beginning seemed to be all right, as I thought he just wanted to make conversation, as he was getting bored. Still, I began to be a little scared the moment he told me that I had beautiful eyes. I thanked, and tried to continue reading my magazine. He went on telling me that he could read in people's eyes. I have to admit that I am very attracted by these things and, to see if he was, indeed, talking seriously, I asked him to tell me something about myself.

He began saying that I had a brother younger than me, who was going to cause my parents some problems in two years' time, because of his group of friends. Indeed, I had to agree with the first part, as I have a brother. He then told me that my father was going to have some health problems around the age of fifty, but he would manage to overpass them. He characterized me as a good and hardworking person, but that my friends sometimes presume upon my kindness. To my surprise he was right. But the most interesting was that he told me I was going to meet a boy at the end of that little voyage, but that I'd be disappointed and we'd only be friends.

The most interesting of all was that he was right in all that he had said. After some years, he proved to tell me the truth: the boy I met was to be just a friend and nothing more, my parents were upset because my brother caused problems to them, leaving home at night with his friends and returning in the morning. Last but not least, my father had some serious health problems, but he now feels better. Now, I have to be optimistic and think that I will live for many years, as this is another thing he had told me.
