Many people are confused in differentiating between organic and regular milk and is always stuck in thinking which one is healthier. This article will give you some basic information about organic and regular milk.

Now organic milk is the milk given by cows that are not nourished on the grain which is sprayed with pesticides in it. These cows are not open to the elements such as bovine growth hormones and antibiotics. And if in any case the cow is given antibiotics than it is separated from its herd for at least a year.

Whereas the regular milk is the o ne given by the cow that is fed with grain sprayed with insecticides. These cows also receive a bovine hormone that increases the yield of milk. The cow sometimes also receive antibiotic when it is ill.

According to USDA standard, the cows can have antibiotics and bovine hormone but even then the dairy farms only allow milk that is antibiotic free and for this purpose the tanks are checked on a routine basis.

It is proved by the researcher at university of Wisconsin that merely drinking organic milk does not fulfill the required amount of CLA s in human body. To fulfill this need one has to increase the intake of fruits and vegetables.
Organic and regular milk differ widely in many ways.

starting from its production process to its pricing. we have already talked about difference in production now comes the price. you can buy a gallon of organic milk in $5 whereas the same amount of regular milk only cost you$2.50.

The reason of high price of organic milk is due to the fact that it is free from any preservatives, chemicals and antibiotics and is fresh from the cow. More care and more resources are needed in production of organic milk.

You drink milk not because it is milk but because you need health and to have health, organic milk is the best and no more matter if its bit costly but remembers nothing can be of more cost than your own health.
