Finally! Today is Friday again and I'm going to he home alone this weekend. My parents are leaving the city in order to visit some friends in another city. This means I can come home at the hour I want without having to respect the one they always ask me to. Therefore, I will be able to dance all night long and I will also go in Trybeca, the house club that opens at four o'clock in the morning. Great! There will be a lot of fun and I will dance until the dawn.
Music and, dancing especially, are my favourite activities at weekend. I'm not the type of girl who enjoys going downtown with friends just to drink a coke in a bar. Yes, that is the occasion to meet your friends and to communicate with them, but if I skip a weekend without going dancing, it is like I didn't
have any fun at all. Therefore, if some of my friends don't want to come in the club and just want to have a drink in a bar, I go out with them, and at midnight, I meet the others, who love discos as I do, and spend the night dancing in clubs.
I believe I have had this inclination for dancing since I was a child. My mother told me that when I first stood up on my own it was while listening to a song on TV. She says I was watching attentively at the TV and when I heard that song I stood up from my little bed, started laughing and jumping. So, it seems that I have had music and dancing in my blood since the day I learnt how to walk by myself.
Therefore, in my childhood I took some dancing classes but unfortunately I had to give up because my programme at school didn't permit me to go on. It was a pity, because I really enjoyed attending them. Then, when I was in my 17s, I heard about a course of Latin dances, like cha-cha, samba, tango and others, and I wanted to go. And so I did. I also convinced a friend to come with me, as I needed a dancing partner, too. Anyway, I soon got bored as I didn't like how the dancing teacher entertained us.
To sum up, I have liked dancing since childhood, and for me it is the perfect way to have a good time together with friends and to forget about daily routine.
