by Cristina Nuta -Living in a modern society implies the fact that people should know how to behave and how to protect the environment they live in. Therefore, citizens should know some rules in order to take care of the things around them.
If we want to live in a nice and modern city, this means that we are also able to respect some rules and be careful where we throw rubbish. There are many beautiful green spaces in our town and it would be a pity to throw a can of coca-cola or the plastic bag we are left with after eating the chips. Doing this demonstrates our lack of education and the fact that we don't know how to respect the work done by others, with great efforts. There are many people on the streets who continue doing this, even if there are several baskets for rubbish eac h fifty meters. In my opinion, this type of people should be given some fees because it is the only way to make them change attitude in this respect.
Even if there are cases when we won't find a basket on the street, unless you have to walk a little more, this doesn't mean we have to throw the rubbish on the street. In this way, our city will be dirty all the time, even if there are workers who have to clean the streets daily. We follow them, throwing our papers and rubbish, and their work will be in vain.
That is why, we should follow the example of other modern countries, where people are so educated and respect some rules to maintain the environment they live in very clean. It is a pleasure for them to look around and to see that all the gardens, parks, alleys and green spaces are clean. They feel proud about themselves and proud to live in such a clean place, too.
To conclude, people in our city should pay more attention where they throw the rubbish, and if you want to throw something in the basket but it falls on the ground and not into the recipient, do not hesitate to take it from the ground and put it into the basket. And if we see people on the street who throw things on the street, it wouldn't be bad at all to warn them about their bad habit. It is the only way people will change their behaviour and will appreciate more the environment.
