You have had a dream that you don't know how to explain, you have dreamt several times something and you are preoccupied because you can't give a meaning to your dream. And, moreover, you have had a terrible nightmare and you can't avoid not thinking about it because you are a little superstitious.
All these matters come in the minds of each one of us, because it is said that dreams are closely connected to our unconscious. When we dream something, the moment we wake up we try to make connections with the persons, objects or situations that surround us. For instance, people who dream some numbers decide to play to some lottery games because they think that it might be a sign that they will be lucky if they will play those numbers.
Sometimes, what we dream will
prove to be exactly the opposite in the real life. For example, if we dream that we are going to discuss with our best friend and we are somehow preoccupied about this, we will simply discover that it was a false alarm and that we get on very well with him or her.
Moreover, there are superstitious or curious persons who believe in astrology or dreams and, therefore, buy all types of books and dictionaries on these matters. Each time they dream something that they cannot explain they take the book and begin to read in order to find an answer to their problem. Still, books cannot always tell us the right thing, because our dreams can just be the consequence of our agitated life and can be connected to insignificant elements around us.
There are no limits to the human mind's ability to generate an infinite abundance of dreams but amongst this mass of imagery are a few common dreams that happen to almost everybody. The majority of us has dreamt of falling, being chased or dreamt of losing our teeth therefore dreams like this are part of shared human experience that cross the cultural divides. Consequently, we should perceive them as another world, that of our subconscious, which can sometimes offer us moments of pleasure, that are maybe impossible in the real life, so we should not always try to give them an interpretation.
