So that a person could feel comfortable in her skin, she should wear only clothes that reflect her personality, that make her fell at her ease in whatever situation. If you always try to stay in touch with the trends, but you don't find the clothes in fashion to reflect your style then you shouldn't wear them just because they are fashionable. They can be so but if you don't like them or you think they don't characterize the way you really are then you should try to personalize them.
For example there are days when you feel down, a little bit sad or you don't feel like doing anything. So you put on something black, or brown, or grey, dark colors that tell the others you are not feeling well that day. On the contrary, if you are happy , you feel like smiling and e
njoying life to the full you choose to wear vivid colors, with funny prints, that really show the way you feel.
Many times we get dressed according to our states of mind, but we really don't realize it. Only when the persons around us ask the reason for our sadness or our joy we come to see that we had chosen some clothes that showed the others how we feel that day.
When we get bored of the clothes we have but we don't have money to buy something new, or we don't want to spend too much because we know we will get bored of them, we start to adjust what we have to the trend: we cut a little bit, we draw something on the jeans, we attach some pearls, rhinestone or whatever interesting thing that crosses your mind. When you see the change, your state of mind also changes as you are also thrilled with the results and at the same time you are excited that you did the change all alone.
Clothes should reflect the way you really are and not the person others would want you to be. Don't let prejudices prevent you from expressing your character and your true personality.
