Enrique Iglesias: Appearances and Insomniac

Q:   Ask a Question about Enrique Iglesias: Appearances and Insomniac
After entering into the year 2004, Enrique Iglesias made number of guest appearances in the media. He appeared as a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show. He even appeared at the Premios Juventud and as a guest on final broadcast of Diego Maradona’s television show. He even performed at Christmas concert for Special Olympics.

He has even attended various commercial events. He endorsed for Tommy Hilfiger fragrance called True star Men with “Ring My Bells” as the theme song for the event.

He also appeared on seasonal finale of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” with a song called “Somebody’s me”. He, recently, has performed live concerts at various places such as Italy, Uruguay, Malaga and Israel. His “For the Fans Tour” became much popular as it contained few old and few new songs both in English and Spanish.

In 2007, he released his brand new album called “Insomniac”. The reason behind such name was because the album was recorded mainly at night. It featured pop style music and the main highlights were “Push”, “Ring My Bells”, and “Tired of Being Sorry”. And then his “Somebody’s me” was released as a single in the American continent. The song got the place on Billboard’s Hot AC because of its extensive playing on AC radio.

He was infact the first western artist to play a concert in Syria in the span of three decades, where he performed in front of 10,000 people in the capital city of Damascus and in the same week, he performed on Live Earth. The Insomniac World Tour was started from Dome, Johannesburg and ended at newly opened L.A. Live. He visited through Mexico, Argentina and several other places.

“Push” became so much popular as later; its solo version was added in the movie “Step up 2 the Streets”. The song has charted in several countries and has become one of the most highly rated songs.

His song “Can You Hear Me” has been chosen for UEFA Euro 2008 football tournament as an official song. It featured on a re-issue of the Insomniac album being released in several countries.
