It was on a lovely Saturday night when they met each other for the first time. For Christine it was love at the first sight and she could not stop watching him. But she was too timid to get closer and just say 'Hello'. But still, she kept on looking at him, and Antonio realized that. He was the one who came to her, said 'hello' and introduced himself. She was on the point to fall over but she tried to avoid showing him her feelings.
This was just the beginning of a nice love story, but which seemed to last just for a little period. They were very happy to find out things about their lives and to share some opinions concerning their countries. He was Spanish and she was Romanian, but nationality seemed to be the least to matter. Anyway, days passed one after the ot
her and they knew the inevitable moment had to arrive very soon. Christine was going to return to her country, because she had only been in Spain with a scholarship.
The moment they said 'good-bye' there were tears in their eyes. They did not know when they were going to see each other again, even if they promised to visit themselves the next summer holiday. Everything was going well at the beginning, even if they were almost 3,000 kilometres between them. They were talking on the internet, sent messages each day, but all this turned into a rather friendly relationship. Distance began to show its bad influence on their relationship.
They were both, attractive, intelligent, young, and surrounded by temptations. They enjoyed going out with friends, having fun and meeting new people. None of them could resist temptations because, to be honest, they did not know if they ever were able to have a serious relationship. He had his life in Spain and the only possibility to be together was that she came there, too and to begin a new life.
Still, distance showed them that it was not a true love the one they were living, because they had realized they could live one without the other, even if in their lives they will never forget the moments lived together.
