The basis of any marriage is the mutual respect between partners. If you have it you can live happily ever after. You always take the important decisions together and you don't do anything without consulting the husband. You are always very careful not to hurt the partner with lines that annoy him and that you don't really even mean.
In a marriage both partners should decide on the expenses of the house, on the amount of money given to the children or in the choice of a college or the university where they will study.
There is a problem when the man is working and the woman is taking care of the house and of the children. If she doesn't have a job she doesn’t make any money so there are men who consider that their wives don’t have the right to object to what t
hey decide because they don't work. And the women suffer because they don’t fight for their legal rights and for the equality in the marriage.
Both the husband and the wife have the same legal rights and she should be allowed to say whether she agrees or not with her husband.
Finances should be handled together and men should try to listen more to their wives' pieces of advice because women know more about the house, about all the expenses of the house as they are the ones who take care of the household.
You can't expect a man who is working all day long and who gets home only at night to know more about the house and how things should be handled than the woman.
You are not less of a man if you listen more to your wife and to what she is telling you. You may be surprised how right she may be. A man who recognizes that behind his thoughts there are always the ideas and the suggestions of a woman is a real man.
So as to prove you are an authentic man let your wife know you are both handling the finances, even if maybe you are the only one who is bringing money to the house.
