Having your own is probably the dream of every teenager. Just the thought of sitting behind a wheel and driving to wherever your heart may desire is the most exciting adventure of all.
The fact that there is an age limit for getting your driver’s license is a very important thing though. The main reason for this is the fact that you need a certain degree of maturity in order to be a good and responsible driver. You often see so many accidents involving young people who were just trying to impress their friends with their driving skills. It is such a pity that all of these lives are being completely changed due to these foolish games the teenagers often play.
I remember the day I got my first car. It was my 20th birthday and I felt the whole world was at
my feet! No one could change my good mood! The years have gone by and little by little I made good friends with my car. However, out of the blue, I got the stupid idea of changing my driving style. I got more aggressive and enjoyed the adrenaline rush that speeding offered. I soon began feeling like I was the master of the streets and there was nothing that could stand in my way.
But one night, as I was enjoying my regular ride in the city, a black car passed by me, having such a speed that I couldn’t even see what brand it was. Some minutes later, as I was comforting myself with the fact that my car has a smaller capacity engine and could not reach that tremendous speed, a terrible sight made me pull over. It was that same black car, crushed and smoking. It was an electricity pole the car had hit and the people nearby were trying to get the driver out.
There was nothing more horrible than this! I left the place, driving slowly and carefully. I can tell you, there was no question about speeding for me, from that moment on. It could have been me hitting that pole! That's when I promised myself I would never do such foolish things like aggressive driving again!
