Last weekend I decided to visit some old friends whom I haven't seen for quite a long time. I considered it was a good opportunity to have an afternoon away from the agitation of the city. So I phoned them and I announced my visit. They were very excited to hear that because they invited me various times to visit them, but my spare time did not allow me to be away from town.
The moment I arrived at their place I was pleased to see their two children waiting for me with a bunch of flowers in front of the house. How sweet they were! They said it was like a habit to receive guests with flowers, because this made them feel better and their guests, too, as if they were in their house.
After entering the house I could see that everything was put in order. After a co
uple of minutes of conversation, my friend decided to lay the table as she had prepared something delicious for that afternoon. I felt very embarrassed because I could notice that my arrival had meant many preparations and I did not really want to bother them at all. And when I expressed my opinion they said that it was a pleasure for them to have me in visit at their place and that, as I was not a common guest, they had to do their best to make me feel comfortable.
I appreciated their attention and I can say that afternoon was very relaxing and interesting. We talked a lot about our lives and families, we looked at photos and we had a walk in the garden. In the garden we had a very nice time together with the children, too. They taught me a very interesting game called 'uno'. We had to play it in more than six persons because it was more exciting. That is why my friend’s children invited some neighbours to play with us. It was a great fun because we were a lot of people and we enjoyed our time.
They said that each guest has to learn playing 'uno' in their house. And that it was more fun to invite some other friends to show them things you enjoy doing. Finally, I had nice and pleasant moments together with them and I promised to pay them another visit as soon as possible. I could find in their house a good company because they did things they really enjoyed and made me feel the same.
