The only possible answer to this question is "yes, humankind is definitely heading for self-destruction". We didn't care about the planet, about the environment, and now we have to stand the consequences. We didn't take into consideration the experts' advice related to global warming and the melting of the icebergs and now this is what everybody is talking about. Now it's quite too late to fix things and we'd better pray nothing bad will happen.

We didn't care about pollution, about plants that give us oxygen, we forgot about animals in danger of extinction due to man's evilness. Now we see that nature has gone crazy with snow in Sahara and an earthquake every five minutes, and we begin wondering what is going on. Not until something destructive happens will we s top from our daily activities and want to find solutions.

This is only an aspect of the problem. We should speak about endless wars that kill thousands of innocent persons, just for the sake of world wide peace.What is the point of peace if throughout the process so many lives are destroyed?

We head for self-destruction because we are rasist, because teenagers have gone wild, as they don't take into consideration what their parents are adivising them to do, as they want to be like the characters they admire and start shooting their classmates or their teaches.

Moreover, there are thousands of cases of terorism that have made us fear taking the tube, or travelling by plane. You realise you aren't safe anymore, not even in your house due to the robberies that take place each day.

What is the worst of all is that not even now, at the last moment, there are so many who don't realise the danger and the gravity of the facts as we are only a step away from losing everything we have, our planet, our lives.
