Is it preferable for the betterment of Romanian society that young people study abroad

Is it preferable for the betterment of Romanian society that young people study abroadby Cristina Nuta -

Romanians have demonstrated their capacities in different Olympiads, several competitions in mathematics, informatics that have occurred abroad. Romanian people were appreciated and there have been many companies abroad which offered well-prepared Romanians the opportunity to work in big companies in several foreign countries. Working there they demonstrated their capacities and they also improved their experience in certain domains of activity.

That is why I don’t think that in Romania young people may not receive a good educational system. It is true that there are some high schools and universities in our country where there is a better way of teaching and there are more developed equipments than in other centers of learning. Here young people can receive a be tter grounding and can easily compete with young people who have not had the same degree of knowledge.

However, I do believe that it is preferable for the betterment of Romanian society that young people study abroad. It is a good opportunity for young people to experience a new and quite different educational system than the one in our country. Young people should take advantage of scholarships abroad because it is a great chance for them to make an opinion about what education means in another countries and that it implies much more strictness. For example, teachers do not give high marks so easy, even if you have made a good paper. But at the same time, one will notice that students abroad do not study as much as the ones in Romania and they are very happy just to pass an exam not necessarily having a high mark.

I consider young people studying letters should study abroad in order to consolidate their knowledge in the foreign languages they are studying. Once they will be in Spain, Italy, Germany or England, for example, they will see how hard is to express themselves at the beginning in that specific foreign language. But very soon they will remark the changes and the fact that they have started to gain correct accent and, at the same time, have fluency in speaking.

All in all, young people in Romania need to study abroad, too, for a better knowledge and experience in the domain of activity they have chosen for the future. Having well-prepared young people, our country has the chance to collaborate with companies abroad and improve the level of grounding here in Romania.
