Iskcon Temple Founded by A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Iskcon temples are known for their Vaishnav cultures and divine atmosphere. This sect is known all over the world and Iskcon temples are also situated all over the world among which 40 is present in India.

These temples are built by "Hare Ram Hare Krishna" followers who worship Lord Krishna. The temples have a beautiful feel to it and they are known for its cleanliness and architecture and elegance.

Of all the temples built in India, Iskcon temple in Bengaluru is considered the most well built of all. It was built in 1997 and it is called as Shri Shri Radha Krishna Chandra temple. It has more than 5.1 million devotes visiting every year and still counting.

The Temple features beautiful paintings of Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and some others and the temple is built in a typical south Indian style architecture. It broadens up to an area of 10,000 sq.ft.

The other remarkable temples in India include the Iskcon temp0le at Delhi, Mayapur in West Bengal and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.

These temple should be visited to feel the ambience, the white marble walls and to experie3nce the piousness of the place. The best part about these temples is the kirtan and the arti that is every evening that is grand and you can find people that go in a trance while praying.

During Janmashatami, that is the birthday of Lord Krishna, huge precessions are taken out to celebrate the birthday.

This is called as Jagannath yatra, which takes tour of the major areas of the city and finally settle down at a decided place from where different cultural programs are performed. Attending this is considered as one of the sure way of being close to God.

Holding the ropes of the chariot during the procession is considered holy. And people from all walks of life come to attend this festival celebrated at Iskcon or to at least take the Prasadam, offerings made to Lord Krishna.
