Jessica Lunsford- Abduction, Rape and Murder Life of Jessica Lunsford was very short and painful to her and to the world. Born on 6thOctober 1995 Jessica Lunsford was abducted by his neighbor from her home in Homosassa, Florida in the morning If February 24, 2005. Moreover, later it was learned that she was raped over a weekend and later killed by John Couey.

Media covered all the trials on this murderer and played a key role in giving information about the trials. It was one of the cruelest murders and it was very tough for the police personnel to find her body after her murder.

After some hard work done by the police personnel her body was found. Couey confessed in the tape that he had abducted raped and murdered Jessica. He confessed the following things:
He entered the Lunsford’s house very early in the morning around 3 am and asks her to follow him.

After that, he raped her, two-times, and buried her under the ground and covered with leaves. Police found her body in march 19, 2005 at a resident located at West Sparrow court buried under the ground. Autopsy report confirmed that she had died due to instant lack of oxygen when buried alive by Couey.

On March 14 judges in Jessica trial found Couey guilty and recommended death penalty for him. Finally, on August 24, 2007 he was sentenced death penalty however he died before that due to some natural reasons. Following his daughter death father Mark Lunsford applied for tougher and harder punishment for the sex offenders.

The Jessica Lunsford Act was named after her. This act was introduced into the federal level in 2005 but was never used into law by the congress.

After her death her older brother was charged off having an unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. This incident involves a 14-year old girl outside of the Upper Valley Mall in Springfield, Ohio. Joshua was 18 at that time.

The judge ordered him to undergo “sex offender assessment.” We as a human being need to learn some lesson from this story and this wonderful world from such curse.
