The Video game Just Cause is one of the third person sandbox type developed and released by Avalanche Studio and Eidos Interactive respectively. Just Cause was released on 22nd September 2006 for Play Stations, Xbox 360, Xbox and Windows in Europe. This reached North America on 2006 September 27th. The frictional area of the game is estimated to be over 250,000 acres or 1,1012km2 in size. The game includes 300 side missions and 21 story missions to be completed. As in April 2009, this game has sold over 1 million copies.
The core game includes an element of a third person shooter and one driving game. The most significant part of the game is the large and wide environment to move around. The player can walk, jump and swim. They can also use weapons and hand to hand combat. Players are
also able to take control of boats, airplanes, helicopters, motorcycles and cars. Other key features are base jumping, skydiving and parasailing.
The non linear environment lets the players to choose and explore how they like to play the game. Though the storyline mission is necessary to go through the game, players have the choice to finish them at their wish and leisure. Players can roam free when they are not in a mission. But doing so will invite unnecessary attention from authorities. It is also possible to take part in variety side mission if they like. This may include liberating one village or maybe taking over a hideout.
Why we like Just Case?
Though the game had drawbacks of certain bugs and related issues, the game was quite famous and many of the gamers seemed to like it. The major features of liking being the vast area rady for exploration and also the option to complete the game at their will.
Why is Just Case Famous?
Just Cause encountered both good and bad reviews and these varying scores averaged the platform in between 68 % and 76 %. In one of the online reviews, IGN gave the game a score 6.8 out of 10. The IGN UK gave it a score of 8.8 however.
