Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Q:   Ask a Question about Larry Page and Sergey Brin
Larry Page, full name Lawrence Page is an American and Sergey Brin whose full name is Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin is a Russian and both are the founders of the Google Incorporation which more or less rules the internet technically. Both of them are worth today more than $15 billion each. Both of them are today 37 years old and are best friends as they were in college.

Larry grew up in a traditional Jewish family and his parents used to teach Computer Science at Michigan State University so for Larry computers were not new since he was a kid. Sergey was a Jew too but he was born in Moscow, Russia and his family immigrated to United States when he was six years old. His father too was a teacher at University and his mother was a scientist at NASA space center.

Both of them had excellent schooling, obviously, if one has such brilliant and intellectual parents, education will definitely be a top priority. They both got together when they both got enrolled up as students in Stanford University to study Computer Science. They met on orientation day itself and slowly steadily, they became great friends. Despite having difference of opinions on almost every subject they used to cherish them and it made their friendship stronger.

In college they both had different focus on topics but they both together wrote a research paper which was titled, "The anatomy of a large scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine". This led them on a revolutionary journey. To research more on this topic they used to bring in lots and lots of old computers in their dormitory and used to test different algorithms and what not to test the superiority of their search engine. Their testing started even bothering the Standford University’s network and when they came to know that they have come up with something unique and a revolutionary search engine which will work far better and with high degree of relevance than the other contemporary search engines, they stopped working on their Ph. D’ s and developed their search engine in 1996.

After they developed it completely, they registered a company named Google Inc. in 1998. It used to provide web search of different web pages. Its relevance rate was so high that it quickly hit off and became the Numero Uno of the web search world. Citing the opportunity the IT industry had they expanded their spectrum on variety of different dimensions across the internet and today when you get only it is hardly impossible that you might directly or indirectly not use a product made by Google.

They both have been married and live a happy life, running a company with over 23,000 employees and generating revenues over $23 billion.
