PROCEDURE: after having read and translated the texts "Halloween" and "The History and Legends of the Jack O'Lantern", the students share information about what they have just read helped by the teacher who asks them comprehension questions and also writes the unknown words on the blackboard

ACTIVITY FOUR:
AIM: the students create a Halloween spooky story
CLASS MANAGEMENT: class work

PROCEDURE: The teacher asks the students to tell a person's name, type of animal, favourite saying, song title, colour, colour, adjective, action verb which the teacher writes on the blackboard and then the students fill in the blanks from exercise 1 on hand-outs and read the story they created.

ACTIVITY FIVE:
AIM: the students listen to a Halloween story

PROCEDURE: The teacher asks the students to listen to a story on the tape and fill in with the verbs they hear then the teacher asks the students to solve an exercise putting the events from the text in order.

AIM: the students role play a story

PROCEDURE: The teacher asks the students to role play a story about a girl and a wizard.
