Many parents nowadays are just no more pleased with the educational system in schools or universities. They consider that things have changed as compared to the past and that there is irresponsibility from the part of students and some teachers, too.
First of all, mentalities have changed and children go to school not to study but because they have other interests: to show off their new pair of jeans of brand, to amaze their colleagues with a trendy haircut or just to meet friends and have a little fun. Lately, only few of the students trully give their interest in what concerns learning and having good marks at school. From these reasons, parents consider that their children would receive a better education at home rather than at school, as the latter is only an
enviromnent where bad influences occur. Here we can add the fact that there are some teachers who don’t give their total interest concerning their subject and children consider them to be low grounded in their field of activity. As a consequence, they hardly respect certain teachers and that’s why, during classes, the only thing they do is to mock upon the teacher and finally learn nothing.
It is a pity that things have reached this level in what concerns the educational system today. But we should point out one interesting fact: not all the families can afford to have their children educated at home. This implies a certain social status and only wealthy families can offer this to their children. It is true that studying at home has certain advantages because the teacher has much more time to explain when the child does not understand something. Then, there is much more silence and a distinct surroundings as there are no more noisy classmates to disturb the class. Likewise, children form their own personality without being influenced by the classmates around them from whom they can copy different negative behaviours.
To conclude, we should say that this method of education at home can be an advantage but only for rich families. However,some drastic measures should be made in order to prevent dissatisfactions from part of parents regarding the system of education nowadays.
