Nancy Drew Dossier series debuted last year with Nancy Drew Dossier: Lights Cameras Curses! that created a mix between hidden objects games and adventure games. The result was excellent and this new Nancy Drew Dossier comes to continue the series.
The story begins with Nancy Drew which is invited to The Redondo Spa in order to investigate some "fake" bombs that have been set there to disrupt the spa business. These bombs are not dangerous but they are still a problem for the smooth vacancy of the rich and famous.
As in most hidden objects game, the main goal is to search for hidden objects that may represent a clue in solving the spa mystery. Just like the previous Nancy Drew Dossier game, here you must combine multiple objects in order to solve various puzzles. Some of these combin
ations will require creativity and logical thinking.
As you progress through game, you will need to solve a large variety of puzzles by finding and combining hidden objects. Some of these objects are going to activate a mini-game that must be played in order to advance in game. These mini-games are partially related with the main story and solving them can provide you with useful information in solving further puzzles. Most of these mini-games are fun and you will enjoy playing them. There is also a dialogue section where Nancy Drew must select correct answers to various questions.
As in every Nancy Drew game, the interface is simple and easy to understand. Clicking an object will show you some basic information about it that can help in solving a mystery or puzzle.
From graphical point of view, Resorting to Danger has pretty much the same quality as previous Nancy Drew games. It is well designed which is important, especially for a hidden objects game. The sound is also good and the sound effects are decent.
Overall, Resorting to Danger is a good casual game and a good name for the Nancy Drew franchise. The hidden objects fans will definitely enjoy this game.
