05/2009 23	It's true, I myself, being a law student find that punishments should fit the crime, but the judge is not the one to decide that punishment. The judge is bound to the stare decisis meaning he must follow precedent in order to come to a final verdict. So if someone got away with murder before, then it could happen again.
