I have recently come across an interesting experience: I have met a relative who is eighty years old but who seems to be in his late 60’s. Which is the cause of his looking so good? The answer is very simple: all his life he has been practicing all types of sports and even at an older age he feels active and energetic.

He advised me that, for a person to feel healthy, it is important to have active occupations. One needn’t always do daily sports or have active occupations but at least three times a week he should go jogging for half an hour at least or go to a gym and make some fitness or aerobics.

However, this physical activity should be accompanied by a proper nourishment which needs to consists of fresh food: fresh vegetables and fruit, many liquids a day, less fats. Then, one should respect a certain timetable of eating and try to follow it each day. In the evening, it is better to have a light dinner and drink some tea or eat fruit.

I should say that many people nowadays have started to practice all kinds of sports. For example, men generally prefer to practice football once or twice a week. They do it for pleasure, to make some physical activity or, moreover, it is a great opportunity to meet with friends. Then, women prefer to choose going to fitness or aerobics even if they have to loose some two hours of their spare time. But they have realized how important is to feel relaxed afterwards and have a nice and a firm skin.

Active occupations avoid us to be lazy. For example, walking for half an hour a day has lots of benefits: it puts into function all our categories of muscles and this is good for our imunitary system. We won’t feel tired after climbing the stairs of our block of flats or running for two minutes to catch the bus.

Even if many people feel they don’t need to practice a sport or have some active occupations, they have to learn that in time their body will need them a lot. That is why it is better to do this from one’s youth and try to pass through laziness and commodity. The positive consequences will be seen in time when you won’t feel the ‘spot’ that the passing of years leaves on each one of us.
