To my mind, tourism is a positive source which helps people to forget about their daily routine and to relax themselves after so many weeks or months of working. We all wait anxiously for the holidays to come and have an escapade somewhere in the mountains or even to an exotic place. We fell excited when making our luggage and start traveling together with our friends or family to spend some unforgettable moments.
Apart from this means of relaxation and enjoyment, tourism is also important for each country from the economic point of view. There are countries with a high level of tourism, especially countries with passage to sea, where visitors spend big sums of money during their holidays. This is a very positive way for the country to have large sums of money all
ocated in its budget. And if tourists feel comfortable in the places they have chosen, then they will return there the next year, too and they will also show photos to their friends and will try to convince them about the beauties they have found there.
Then, tourism is very efficient because it gives us the opportunity to see unknown and uninteresting places. One can come to discover new traditions, new customs and exotic foods and drinks. Moreover, it is a great chance to meet people all over the world, make friends and enjoy at the maximum during your vacation.
Anyway, apart from all these advantages we should take into consideration two important disadvantages: one the one hand, tourism destroys the environment, as man has cut down many forests in order to build hotels or different travelers’ attractions. Still, there are many associations which protect nature and try to diminish this phenomenon of destruction. On the other hand, there are many people who cannot afford to travel because their incomes are too low and the only thing they can do after a year of working is to give their children some money to travel and have fun with friends.
Therefore, it is a pity to see that some persons cannot have the material possibilities to travel at least once a year, see beautiful sceneries and relax themselves.
