There are so many arguments for and against this statement. If we take into consideration the hours spent by each child at school and those in house we could agree with what they say. Especially in the USA children spend almost the entire day at school, where they have classes, but they also do their homework, eat or relax with their classmates. They go home just to change clothes, take a shower and go to bed. If by any chance parents are not too busy they could have dinner together or watch a film. These are the only moments spent together. How will this help the child shape his personality?
The more time they spend in the company of persons that may help them the better things turn for their character and personality. It also depends on the influence others ha
ve you, as you only need positive advice and only useful things to learn.
Teachers have become so important for children or for teenagers that many times they are the ones who help, who give advice, to take the parents' job quite seriously.
We can't speak about school without mentioning friends, from whom you always can learn something. If you spend much time surrounded by persons you like and with whom you enjoy every minute, you will always want to take part in activities like school competitions, camps, trips.
When we speak about children who don't have any brothers or sisters, who tend to feel lonely, the function of school grows significantly. Not as to become selfish persons, who only think at themselves, these children choose school and classmates to share opinions, joyful or sad moments. This is when school shapes their personality. How you are seen is how you are.
The ideal solution would be a mixture of influences come from both family and school, which would surely help the teenager better.
