She knew the events of the day would change her life forever. She had met the most extraordinary man, a young lawyer who had come to take care of some problems for her father. She was a young doctor who had just graduated the University and was about to start working in a private hospital secretly financed by her father. The latter was always watching her because he thought she was too naive and could be easily influenced by others.

So far what seems to be the problem? None, as the two felt an irresistable attraction to one another from the very first moment they met. But there was one big problem: the young lawyer was not a Jewish like her and she knew her father would reject him immediately.

He had been very clear with her: she could choose any man, rich or poor, young or old, but he had to be Jewish like their family.

She had promised her father she would do so, but now she was about to break the promise.

At first she rejected the man, finding all kind of childish excuses until she couldn't stand seeing him so sad and she accepted to go out with him. The night spent together was the most beautiful of her life. She knew she was desperately in love with him. And the worst of all, the young man felt the same about her.

She tried to explain him how things stood, that her father would never forgive her but he didn't care. He said she would be his wife and nothing else mattered any more.

In a month they were married and her father was about to have a heart-attack when he heard the news. At fitst he was angry because he didn't have a clue about anything but when he saw how in love the two were he had no other choice but to accept the marriage.

Now he feels very happy when he is playing with his grandson every day in the garden of the house. He doesn't care he is only half Jewish.
