The United Kingdom is in the north-west of Europe between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. There are four countries in the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are around 59,000,000 people living in the UK. Around 48,000,000 of these people live in England. London is the capital of England. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh, the capital of Wales is Cardiff and Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland.
Five percent of the population of the UK come from countries such as India, Pakistan or the West Indies. Most people in the UK speak English, but, in Wafes some people speak Welsh and in Scotland thousands of people speak the Scottish form of Gaelic. However, only a small number of people in Northern Ireland speak an Irish form of Gaelic.

The largest cities in the USA are: Boston, New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston and Los Angeles. There are around 270,000,000 people living in the USA.
No other country in the world has got such a large number of different races as the USA. Most of the people who live in the USA are of European origin or African Americans or Hispanics. Most people speak Engfish in the USA. Others speak Spanish. There are also Native American tribes like the Cherokee, the Sioux or the Navajo, but only a few older people speak their languages.
