by Monique Barb -Tim and his friends decide they should go to the mountains this weekend. The weather is fine, so they can take their tents with them. It will belike a scout's camp. They haven't done that since they were children. It will be the trip of the year for them.
So, they take the train on Friday morning. They will get to Sinaia about 4 PM. The way to their dream trip is very noisy. The teenagers sing and laugh all the time. They tell jokes and stories, but they all are anxious to get to Sinaia. Finally their arrival has come. Everyone is clapping their hands. They're so happy to be there!
Tim and John say that they know the right place they should settle down in. It is somewhere in the middle of the forest. They have to walk two or three hours to get there. By the end o f the day they will have got there. So, they start walking…
The road is, in fact, a pathway through the woods. Everyone is overwhelmed by the beauties of the nature that surround them. They can't wait to arrive to that "magic place" that were told about. Meantime they can breathe the fresh air of the forest. They can hear the birds singing and they can pick up flowers.
Finally, they arrive in the middle of the woods. It is really a magic place to set the camp. Everybody is tired but the nature seems to give them higher energy. They make a great camp fire. The stars are bright and it is a full moon. One by one, the teenagers go to sleep, except Tim. He wants to stay a little bit longer and admire this magnificent view. It is very quiet. The deepest dark put a spell on the nature and people.
Tim is preparing to go to sleep but suddenly he hears a noisy thing which is coming closer and closer. He tries to see what happens. Thinking more he is sure there is a bear walking through the woods. Tim stays still until the bear goes away.
So everybody is sleeping now. Tim is thinking they couldn't have guessed how close they have been to a disaster.
