When I look back at my childhood memories swimming in summers is one of the best among them. To make yourself fresh and calm in the warm humid summer days it's the best means to practice. In my teenage I was always told about the advantages of swimming. I still find them working that's why I also swim today to remain youthful and vivacious. Swimming helps us in a number of ways some of them are discussed below.

Swimming enhances your cardiovascular system:

Swimming is a part of an aerobic exercise. During swimming your heart rate increases which in turn increases the blood circulation and as a result oxygen is distributed effectively to tissues and organs of the body. It also helps in lowering the blood pressure so persons suffering from high blood pressur e should add swimming as a part of their regular exercise.

Swimming helps in losing body fats:

Swimming is highly advised to people who are obese. It works on your bones and joints gently. It also entails the muscles to be used and hence proves beneficial to our body.

Calories are burnt:

Swimming for 1 hour burns 500-1000 calories of our body. Swimmers lose tons of their calories without sweating.

No age limit:

There is no age limit for swimming. Whether you are 8 or 88 you can swim whenever you like.

Stress releasing activity:

One can relieve by swimming as it has been proved to release body stress. It relaxes and unwinds the body and mind respectively.

I will recommend people to add swimming in their New Year's Resolution to lose weight and get healthier. For this purpose you can either join a gym or swim in your own pool.
