Teaching Machines Will Replace Teachers

 Q:
Teaching Machines Will Replace Teachers by Herminne Tonita -

The job as a teacher can be very stressing especially if you have the "bad luck" of finding a classroom full of naughty pupils who don't fell like studying and who'd rather do anything else but staying there with you. Still, things can go worse if you have to teach in a class of teenagers who consider themselves superior to everyone else and who never accept the idea that maybe you can really enlarge their cultural universe.

These reasons would make us agree with the idea of studying at home with the help of the computer and of the internet. This system functions perfectly for the persons who already have a job and who don't have time to attend classes. They study by themselves, they have their exams on line and they also get their marks with the help of this mir acle of the 20th century, the internet.

Using these "teaching machines" pupils would save money and effort, but at the same time, they would become introvert and "trapped" at home in front of a computer. There would appear health problems as the eyes would be damaged but also the physical development of the child, who would spend the majority of his time in front of the "vivid" box.

Many people would remain jobless and they would have to find other alternatives for their future as to be able to provide a better life for their children. It is not so pleasant to find out that you won't be able to put into practice all you have learnt all your life.

Studying with a teacher means interactivity, change of ideas, opinions, feelings, means laughing or getting upset when getting a bad mark. You develop emotionally and you enlarge your circle of friends. You communicate, thus you become aware of the society you are a part of.

Every stage of our existence has its fundamental function for the development of the human being and going to a school with real teachers is one of the first and most important period of our lives.
