James Michael Anderson is a right arm pace bowler in England cricket team. Native Burnley in England, he was born on 30th July 1982. He was a student at St Theodore's RC High School, Burnley. He wanted to be a cricketer from childhood. He learned cricket at Burnley Cricket Club. He played as fast bowler in the Lancashire League.

He is 6 ft. 2 inch and has a stunning personality. He became most popular celebrity around David Beckham. He always remained in public and fans demand due to alteration of hair styles.

Anderson debuted in first-class for Lancashire in 2002. He played very well. He took 50 wickets in 13 matches at an average of just 22.28. Because of many tempted performances, he was awarded the NBC Denis Compton Award in 2002 season.

He was awarded Lancashire’s most pro mising young county player. In the summer of 2003, he debuted in the world of test cricket against Zimbabwe at Lord’s.

Just before a week he took hat trick for Lancashire and became the youngest player to take hat trick. Here also he made his presence felt by taking five wickets in an inning. He was the 17th Englishman to conquer five wickets in a debut inning.

On 15th December 2002, he firstly appeared in England one day squad against Australia at Melbourne. In this match, he only scored figures of 1/46 from six overs. He failed to show good promise in the debut match. After that in a three-team tournament including Sri Lanka, he performed well. Due to that he found a place in the 2003 World Cup squad.

In that he really showed very good performance by taking four wickets in day/night game against Pakistan. His match-winning spell brought him the Man of the Match award. His success story continued and he took hat-trick against Pakistan.

He is the first English player ever to take a hat-trick in an ODI. He collected hat-trick wickets of Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami.

Anderson’s best performance is against New Zealand in Test matches. He took 7 wickets with average of just 24.07 in 162.3 overs. In one day matches, Anderson showed best performance against South Africa. He collected 5 wickets with average of 27.36.
