Xaviera de Vries or better known as Xaviera Hollander was born on June 15, 1943 in Soerabaja, Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) and she grew up there with her entire family. Xaviera was born in a normal and happy family. Her mother was a French-German named Germaine de Vries-Schlütter and her father was a Dutch Jewish named Mick de Vries.

Since she was born and until she celebrated two years old Xaviera grew up in a Japanese internment camp because her parents couldn't take care of her. After that, her mother and her father took her from the internment at their home and started to take care of her and of her educations because they wanted to become an important person when will grow up. In this way the little girl started to study a lot and she proved that she had a great talent like writer and she made the magazine of her school every month.

When she grew up Xaviera went at Johannesburg, South Africa at her stepsister and she lived there a while. After she stayed there she left in New York and there she started to work like secretary of the Dutch consulate in Manhattan but after a short time of work she renounced at that and became a call girl because in this way she gained more money.

Just after a year Xaviera gained a lot of money and she made her own business and she opened the Vertical Whorehouse and soon became New York City's leading madam. She started to work more and more and she made her business very big. She worked with girls and the money came very soon because the girls made only great things and the customers were happy because of the girls.

Xaviera started to have a lot of money and to be famous in New York because of her business but in one day the authorities found about her business and decided to arrest her. She was arrested for prostitution and was in jail for a period while she was judged. After that Xaviera was released and she was forced to leave from New York. She was very sad because of that because there she gained a lot of money and had her own business with her girls.

She left from New York and started at her home and was very disappointed because all the things that happened and destroyed her plans and her great business.
