Q:   Ask a Question about The Inclusive School and Active Learning
The Inclusive School and Active Learning The nowadays school system must make sure not only that all children have the right to education but also that they can accede to and benefit from education, irrespective of their social status, religion, race, or disabilities.

The state school must become 'all children's school', those with disabilities included.

This inclusion in the state school system is an important endeavour of the teachers. This process of integration of a disabled child in a class triggers some stages that are to be followed step by step, as they are linked as if in a complex chain. The way these stages are dealt with is of a paramount importance for the success of the efficient integration.

The teacher (the primary school teacher) is backed up in his activity by other responsible factors: the itinerant t eacher, the speech therapist, doctors, the family proper.

When at school, the primary school teacher, helps and support the disabled child through specific means not only during the classes, but also during extracurricular activities and out of school activities.

The quality of the teaching and education can be increased for a class where disabled children are enrolled if the primary school teacher uses as methods of teaching the active involvement and direct participation. Thus children are stimulated to interact, cooperate, communicate, enrich their cognitive and emotional experience.

Using methods like: "the Mosaic", "The Quintet", "The Cube", "Gallery Touring", and so on, lead to very good results as self esteem and inner motivation are concerned as they stress active participation, direct involvement according to each and every individual's own capabilities.

Active-participation in learning, through its cooperation side help children in their social integration, germinate inside their souls competencies based on cooperation, smoothing the path to living in the "bigger" society.
