Q:   Ask a Question about The statement of Hume about the Social Security reform
In one of the edition of the show Special Report with Brit Hume from February, the presenter spooked about the proposal of Franklin Delano Roosevelt which was the same of the President Bush said with the personal accounts, being part of his Social Security reform plan.

At the Congress from 1935, the founder of Social Security confessed that all of the Social Security plans „Voluntary contributory annuities, by which individual initiative can increase the annual amounts received in old age".

The most of the people from the liberal groups criticized Hume, because they Hume destroyed the statements of Roosevelt and also the Media Matters for America and Keith Olbermann said the same thing about Hume.

On a carefully study on the text that Hume read it we see that the pr esident who was before Bush wanted Social Security, supported by taxpayers. Hume also cited that Roosevelt was very interested about the voluntary work and that was the record. That entire thing that Roosevelt said was rejected by the insurance industry.

On a TV show, Olbermann accused Brit Hume and Fox News television said intentional things about the political history. Is was a big scandal between they which was known by all the people from mass media and it was commented a lot of time even after it was over.

Roosevelt accused Hume that his statements affected the audience of his show.

Roosevelt said that Brit Hume must retract his words, to apologize or even to resign.
