Children are supposed to make us happier and sometimes they help us forget about our daily problems. The moment when they are born we are glad to see them so tiny and helplessly. Then, day after day, we can notice their movements, their first time pronouncing a word or their intent to stand up and try to walk on their feet. They offer us joy and they are very funny making all these steps in their lives.
However, disadvantages and unhappiness first come when our baby is ill. We suffer seeing him crying all day long or unwilling to do the activities he loved doing before. But after recovering, we are pleased to see him playing with his toys, running in the park and meeting other children of his age.
When the child offers you satisfaction you are very content to
have him and you love him more. The moment he goes to school and begins to have good marks and everybody speaks well about him, parents are very happy and begin to trust in their offspring. They consider he deserves more and more independence because he has not disappointed them so far. But sometimes things prove out to be different as we have planned them to be. We find out that our child has lied to us or that he receives a negative influence from his group of friends. Parents begin to have quarrels with their children and it’s the moment when the former prohibit them doing certain things. The most common punishments are to refuse giving the child money or allowing him to go downtown with friends at weekends.
This can be considered another disadvantage of having children. Parents get annoyed and very disappointed when their children lie to them or when they do not communicate with them, even if there are parents who aren’t so preoccupied about their children’s social life, which is a great mistake. Children need attention from the part of their family because there are moments when they feel very lonely and need the advice of their parents.
People generally wish to have children because they represent a change in our lives and they are supposed to take care of their parents when these are old. Many times they offer moments of happiness but disappointments or unhappiness is difficult to avoid. One sad case can be to give birth to a child with health problems, which, unfortunately, he will suffer from all his life.
