For many years, women have fought for their rights and independence in front of men, and the consequences have been positive as they sometimes have proved to be as powerful as men are considered to be. Moreover, they have showed to be capable of raising children by themselves, without the need of a man to support them.

In my opinion, single mothers are capable of giving their children a good education. Even if it is sometimes harder for them to carry out the responsibilities of both a mother and a father, they have the strength to go on and overpass all the difficult moments. Therefore, at times, single mothers have to play the role of a father, as the child should not notice the absence of a male character in the house. For instance, if a mother has a boy who love s football, a sport which is generally preferred by men, then she has to watch some football matches with her child if this represents a great thing for him. Moreover, she should take him to a football club because the boy may have talent and he has to develop it.

On the other hand, we should admit that there are several single mothers whose social condition isn't a good one, but who try to even have two jobs in order to offer their children a comfortable life. Sometimes children are disobedient, and it is very hard to please them or to control them. In such moments the presence of a man is mostly felt because he can impose much determination in a family. Anyway, if a single woman knows how to educate her children, then they will appreciate her and she will be able to make them listen to her, and be less disappointed.

To conclude, I believe that single mothers are capable of growing their children alone, especially when they are independent financially speaking. Even if the responsibilities are higher and they have to play a father’s part, too, moral recompense is that which matters mostly when they notice that they have been able to show their children the right way in life.
