Yoga Exercise

 Q:
Yoga ExerciseOriginating in India, is simply a series of gently stretching exercises based on different 'postures', which are practised while you breathe in a controlled way.

Outside India, Yoga is mostly associated with the practice of asanas (postures) of Hatha Yoga or as a form of exercise, although it has influenced the entire Indian religions family and other spiritual practices throughout the world.

It is good for loosening stiff joints, back or muscle aches and pains, and strengthening weak muscles. The 'triangle' position is also good for trie digestive system. Try not to bend your knees and keep your hips facing the front.

1 Stand with your feet well apart. Point your right foot to the right and your left foot a little to the right.

2 Stretch your right arm out to the side at shou lder level and bring your left arm straight up againstyour left ear.

3 Breathe in.

4 As you breathe out, bend to the right, without bending forward. Slide your right hand as far down your right leg as it will go.

5 Look at your left hand and take a few deep breaths.

6. Repeat bending to the left.

There are numerous opinions on what the goal of Yoga may be, although generally they involve some kind of union, either of a personal or a non-personal nature.

To go deeper into your practice of yoga, it is necessary to challenge your body-mind-spirit on occasion.
