This quotation made me think carefully what my priorities in life are: to make a living or to make a life?
One usually makes a living working hard, day by day, and gets something valuable in change: money. Money makes life easier and at the same time helps us make a life.
I definitely agree with the idea that we make a life by what we give to others. For example, if rich people, who have enough money to live to the full, would give an insignificant quantity of money to poor persons, or abandonned children, they could easily say they made a life happier, they brought a silver linen through the dark clouds of solitude and poverty, even if it's just for a short period of time.
What can't be forgotten is that in order to receive you have to give. You work, you r
eceive money, you study, you get a good mark and the retribution of your parents.
In any relationship if you don't offer love, friendship, respect, you don't receive them. So we mustn't be surprised when something goes wrong; it just means that one of the partners has forgotten this rule, which is the foundation for any love story.
When we offer something and see a happy face we feel we did something important and maybe we gained a life-time friend.
The more we give the more we get from our inner satisfaction, our fulfillment as a person with a strong personality. We gain our peace and our conscience is satisfied with the decisions we make.
To sum up we should never forget about the persons around us, we should be less selfish and more concerned about the real problems of life, not about what's trendy nowadays or what colour my new cell phone should have
